The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) proudly announces its participation in the upcoming Future Farmers of America (FFA) National Convention November 1-4 in Indianapolis. At this year’s convention, PERC is partnering with Rob Sharkey of SharkFarmer to share valuable insight and inspire students to share their own innovative ideas about the future of farming.

At the PERC booth, there will be a “Future of Ag” contest where students can share their thoughts about the future of the agriculture industry and may be selected to be showcased on a future SharkFarmer Podcast episode with Rob Sharkey and Mike Newland, director of agriculture business development at PERC.

Agriculture educators are also invited to stop by the booth for access to free lesson plans and to be entered to win a visit from Rob Sharkey to their own state or local FFA chapter.

PERC’s free, downloadable lesson plans include propane-focused curriculum, interactive activities, and sample tests on the following topics:

“We’re proud to support the FFA organization, and we recognize the important role these future farmers hold in shaping how our nation grows food in the years to come,” said Newland. “We look forward to connecting with agriculture industry leaders and students to learn more about their own goals or questions about careers in agriculture, while also sharing more about propane’s unique benefits for farming operations.”
