Naiku Signs Student Privacy Pledge
EDINA, MN – Naiku, provider of award-winning, next-generation classroom assessment software, is proud to announce their support of the Student Privacy Pledge, spearheaded by the Future of Privacy Forum and the Software & Information Industry Association.
President Obama recently unveiled the next steps in his comprehensive approach to enhancing consumers’ security, tackling identity theft, and improving privacy online and in the classroom, including the Student Digital Privacy Act, a new legislative proposal designed to provide teachers and parents the confidence they need to enhance teaching and learning with the best technology by ensuring that data collected in the educational context is used only for educational purposes.
In today’s increasingly interconnected world, American companies are also leaders in protecting privacy, taking unprecedented steps to invest in cybersecurity and provide customers with precise control over the privacy of their online content. 75 companies, including Naiku, have committed to this cause by signing the Student Privacy Pledge to provide parents, teachers, and students with important protections against misuse of their data. President Obama has challenged other companies to follow their lead and sign the pledge.
“We support the work of the Future of Privacy Forum and the Software and Information Industry Association,” said Greg Wright, CEO of Naiku. “We are proud to be one of the original signatories of the Student Privacy Pledge that they have authored.”
